Procedure & cost
Porcelain veneers are $1,200–2,500 per tooth in the US and roughly $400–600 in Mexico. A smile makeover of 8 veneers is where the saving becomes a flight and a hotel and still thousands ahead.

Porcelain veneers are thin ceramic shells bonded to the front of the tooth; they're the durable choice and last 10–15+ years. Composite veneers are built up in resin chair-side in one visit — cheaper (about $150–280 in Mexico) but they stain and chip sooner.
A full smile makeover is typically 6–10 veneers on the top teeth, sometimes with the bottom teeth done too. Expect two visits: one to prepare the teeth and take impressions (you leave in temporaries), one about a week later to bond the finished veneers. Many patients stay in Mexico the whole time.
Veneers are irreversible — enamel is removed. Ask to see the clinic's own case photos, ask about a wax-up or digital preview before anything is drilled, and be wary of anyone promising a specific “Hollywood” look sight unseen.
It depends how wide your smile shows when you talk and laugh. Most people need 8–10 on top for an even result; doing only the front 4 can leave a visible color and size mismatch.
Plan on 7–10 days in one trip so the same clinic preps and bonds. Rushing it into 3 days usually means compromises on fit and shade.
Very low prices sometimes mean crowns are being done instead of veneers (more tooth removed), or a lower-grade ceramic. Ask exactly what material and what technique, in writing.
