How we verify clinics
Last reviewed: September 2026
A clinic listed on this site is in one of two states, and we label which:
- Unverified — compiled from public information (name, city, founding year, website). Not an endorsement. We show no ratings or reviews for these.
- Verified — the clinic has passed the review below and supplied supporting documents. Only verified clinics receive patient enquiries.
The verification standard
1. Credentials
- Cédula profesional (professional licence) for every treating dentist, checked against Mexico's Registro Nacional de Profesionistas.
- Specialty registration (cédula de especialidad) for anyone performing implant surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics or oral surgery.
- Named continuing-education or fellowship history where the clinic claims it.
2. Facility & safety
- Current municipal/health operating licence.
- Written sterilization and infection-control protocol; autoclave with spore-testing logs.
- On-site 3D imaging (CBCT) for implant and full-arch cases, or a named external radiology partner.
- Medical emergency equipment and a stated protocol; sedation only by a licensed anesthesiologist where offered.
3. Materials transparency
- Named implant system(s) and prosthetic brands, with lot/traceability documentation available to the patient.
- No substitution of advertised materials without written patient consent.
4. Quoting & records
- Every patient gets an itemized written treatment plan before treatment starts.
- Full records (X-rays, scans, plan, invoice, materials) provided to the patient to take home.
5. Warranty & complications
- A written warranty on major restorative and implant work.
- A documented process — in writing, before booking — for what happens, and who pays, if something fails after the patient returns home.
6. Track record
- Verifiable years in operation and a physical address we can confirm.
- No unresolved pattern of serious complaints with Mexican consumer-protection authorities (PROFECO) or dental boards.
What verification is not
It is a check that a clinic meets a baseline standard and is transparent. It is not a clinical audit of individual outcomes, a guarantee of results, or a substitute for your own due diligence — get multiple quotes, ask each clinic the hard questions, and read the safety guide.
Re-verification
Verified status is reviewed annually and revoked immediately if a clinic misrepresents credentials, substitutes materials without consent, or stops honouring its complication process.
Conflicts of interest
A clinic pays a referral fee only on a matched patient who books. Passing or failing verification is independent of that fee and of any advertising relationship. See the affiliate disclosure.
