How we make money

Last reviewed: September 2026

MexicoSmileGuide is free for patients. We fund the site two ways.

1. Clinic referral fees

When you use Get quotes, we pass your request to verified clinics that match your case. If you go on to book treatment, the clinic pays us a referral fee.

• The fee is the same across verified clinics for a given procedure type — so we have no incentive to steer you to one over another.
• It does not change the price the clinic quotes you.
• It has no bearing on whether a clinic passes verification.

2. Travel-partner affiliate links

Some links to travel insurance, hotels, flights, rental cars and currency services are affiliate links — if you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These are clearly adjacent services; we link to them because trip logistics are part of the decision, not because a partner paid for editorial coverage.

What we don't do

• We don't sell verified status, rankings or reviews.
• We don't take payment to write about a clinic, city or procedure a particular way.
• We don't run fake reviews or star ratings.
• We don't inflate US prices or discount travel costs to make Mexico look better — the travel cost is included precisely so the comparison is honest.
